OSF set to rock Oudtshoorn again
The Distruction Boyz will perform at the Oudtshoorn Spring Festival (OSF) at the Bongolethu Stadium in Oudtshoorn on Saturday, 20 October, along with a wide range of other artists.
Distruction Boyz, made up of award winning artists Thobani "Que" Mgobhozi (left) and Zipho "Goldmax" Mthembu, have created a number of hit songs over the past few years and are known for pioneering the Gqom genre.
Local artists who will perform with many other visiting musicians, are Ndozman, DJ?Sissow, Dj Nitro, DJ?Slide, Freshmatic, So Naughty, Chilli Bites and Ol'Star Band.
Event organiser Justine Siyanda Masiba, from Real Simzee Brand Events, says the Distruction Boyz will arrive in Oudtshoorn on Thursday (18 October) and will visit six schools the next day. The schools are Fezekile Secondary, Bongolethu Primary, Aurial College, Oudtshoorn High School, Bergsig Primary and Sacred Heart Primary.
Tickets for the festival (from R80 upwards) can be bought at Shoprite/Checkers, and gates open at 12 noon. OSF creates at least 30 temporary job opportunities for the community, and provides stall vendors opportunities to sell their products at the event.
