Bergsig

Bergsig is a very spacious luxury cottage. It is surrounded by a beautiful private garden with a very private lapa. The view of the Swartberg Mountains from here is absolutely mind blowing. This house consists of three huge bedrooms including a majestic main bedroom, 2 living rooms and 2 bathrooms and shower outside under the willow tree. It is fully equipped and has a fireplace and electric blankets in the winter.

Ghaneghoetjie

Ghaneghoetjie is a beautiful old ethnic house with the most atmospheric fireplace and reed ceilings and doors for those cold evenings while watching the snow covering the mountains outside. Its outdoor braai area is perfect for those lovely summer evenings. It has a 360 degree view of the farm and offers you the most memorable sunsets possible.

Kees en Kie

Kees en Kie, named after the fact that the baboons previously enjoyed visiting the house, is a comfortable three bedroom house with, if possible, the best view of all the cottages. The lapa is situated in the veld – making a braai an absolutely unique experience. Here you have the advantage of showering under the Klein Karoo stars – this is very popular. The ideal family house!

Spitzkoppen

Spitzkoppen, recently re-renovated! This spacious 6-room house, surrounded by a shaded verandah, has a beautiful view of the most famous beacon of the Swartberg mountains, namely Spitskop. It sleeps 4 people and has a massive garden and braai area and a nice bathroom containing both bath and shower. Ideal for a family. The lounge in Spitzkoppen is spacious and offers a fireplace and natural wood furniture.

Vogelnest

Ideal for a single person or a couple. This interesting little house with the build-in double bed and seats offers a cute little bathroom and garden. The view from the stoep is absolutely magnificent. There is a build in braai on the covered stoep.

Jan se Groote Schuur

Groote Schuur is an open plan cottage with it’s own braai facilities overlooking the beautiful Swartberg Range. This cottage can accommodate up to 6 people. Groote Schuur consists of two double beds, twin beds (single) and two bathrooms. The cottage is also equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, big 4-plate stove with oven, microwave and a big freezer.

Farm attractions

The combination of your hostess, Maggie Fourie, and the unspoilt nature on the farm has to lead to the establishment of various hiking trails on the farm allowing you to experience some of the most breathtaking views imaginable.

These trails are completely safe making it an definite option to keep the children busy as well. In most cases Maggie will accompany you showing you exactly what the farm has to offer.

It is also not surprising that a lot of guests visiting the farm find themselves staying a couple of days longer than expected in order to experience the different hiking trails.

Maggie has also put in a lot of effort preserving the geological – and other offerings on these trails. This includes the preservation of the vast amount of mountain streams and – pools to the little century old rock house.

On these trails one would find a wide variety of birds, small game, baboons and tortoises.

A century old little rock house can be seen on one of the hiking trails. It is built with mud and stone and is the source of plenty of geological finds.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool at the Manor House is available to overnight guests from 08:00 – 13:00 and 15:00 – 19:00 daily.
