The school provides opportunities to learners who experienced barriers to learning in main stream schooling. As part of a broader curriculum we provide learners with education and training opportunities. In our well-equipped workshops learners experience a hands-on approach in acquiring certain skills.

Our current skills curriculum provides training in welding, building, woodworking, general maintenance, catering and hairdressing.

The primary objective of our school is to provide learners with opportunities to develop to their full potential and to eventually become independent citizens. An essential part of our program is to expose learners, from their second year, to real life employment by placing them in the workplace for at least one week per year.

The school accommodates learners with Special Education needs in an area stretching over the greater part of the Klein- as well as the Central Karoo Region. Approximately a third of our learners are accommodated in our hostel. The school offers an extensive curriculum which focuses on the development of learners holistically. Sport and cultural activities as well educational excursions are elements on which we focus to ensure developing well-balanced individuals.
