Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers a unique bushveld experience in the heart of the Klein Karoo.
Guests are invited to experience true African accommodation in the understated elegance and luxury of our tented accommodation, where you’ll wake to the beautiful sounds of nature, the great Swartberg Mountains as backdrop and a magnificent waterhole at your doorstep.
A large wooden deck surrounds the lodge area, offering guests the opportunity to see elephants stately roaming the grounds, hippos leisurely lazing about the waterhole and other game grazing on the opposite bank.
You might even spot a fish eagle swooping down on its catch of the day.
The lodge is located a mere 6.5km from Oudtshoorn, referred to as the ostrich capital of the world, on the main route leading to the Cango Caves and various other interesting tourist attractions in the area.

Luxury Waterhole Accommodation (9 units):
Enjoy the closeness of the water’s edge in our luxury African style waterhole tents. Each tent has its own private sundeck that looks out onto the waterhole, providing the ideal spot to relax and soak up the spectacular scenery. End the day with an ice cold sundowner while viewing the free-roaming wildlife in the waterhole and on the surrounding banks from the comfort of your deck.
Luxury ( Horizon View ) Accommodation (20 units):
Situated a few metres from the waterhole, these luxury tents are surrounded by fynbos and offer spectacular elevated views of the surrounding Karoo veld as well as the entire lodge area.
Luxury Family Accommodation (5 units):
Comfortably accommodating a family of 5, these units comprise a spacious main room, a children’s room and a shared en-suite bathroom separating the two. Set amidst true Karoo fynbos, these family units are within walking distance of the 5 hectare waterhole, which means you might be as lucky as to spot some game along the way.
Offering the most spectacular elevated views of the surrounding bushveld and magnificent Swartberg Mountains, this is an authentic bushveld experience the whole family will treasure.
