Impressively, this grande dame is not only South Africa’s oldest 4-star hotel but also the third oldest of all hotels in the country and has been operating uninterruptedly since 20 March 1880. With 27 rooms, our guests have a variety of spacious, modern en-suite options to choose from, including family, standard, superior and deluxe rooms as well as a luxurious honeymoon suite.

Standard /Family:
Our Standard and Family rooms open onto a veranda with beautiful views of the large gardens and swimming pool. Please contact us for a quote if you require child or 3rd/4th person sharing rates.

Superior:
Overlooking the fountain and garden, our Superiors offer a bit more space than our Standard rooms and also have a bigger bathroom with a separate toilet, shower and large bath.

Deluxe:
The brand new Deluxe rooms with their large stacking doors open up onto the garden and fountain and is ideal for guests who value a bit more privacy. They are modern, spacious and also offer the choice between a room with an outside shower or free-standing bath.

Honeymoon:
The Honeymoon suite is our largest room, and with a living room, private patio and spa bath, it promises our newlywed guests a blissful retreat.

Rosenhof Country House is situated in Oudtshoorn, en route to the Cango Caves, Ostrich Farm and the Swartberg Pass. The carefully renovated homestead (Circa 1852), with its yellowwood beams and ceilings and a tasteful collection of antique furniture, exudes an aura of authenticity.

The lovely rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to stylishly decorated bedrooms, each individually furnished. All rooms provide air-conditioning, underfloor heating, Wi-Fi, satellite television (DSTV), telephone, mini bar, digital safe and tea and coffee facilities.

The Bird’s Cottage offers private en suite accomodation. The Cottage is nestled between indigenous trees, creating the experience of rus in urbe. Guests are accommodated in style within three en suite bedrooms. A shared lounge leads directly to a outdoor terrace and swimming pool.

The two Executive Suites each with their own pool, lounge and patio, has tranquil views of the Swartberg Mountain. Rosenhof has a cosy pub and several luxury lounges with fireplaces where visitors can relax and admire works from well-known South African artists. In summer, cool down in the pool or take tea in the manicured gardens. The Wellness Centre offers a fully equipped Gym, Sauna and Spa.
